Hello everyone!
The admins have been hard at deliberation this weekend and we have come up with a decision. Even though this was one of our fastest announcements, it was by no means a hasty decision. There were many great apps that we considered, but ultimately one individual stood out.
This person has been very active on the site on multiple accounts for some time now. They are always involved in plots-- be they site-wide or user-run. Ever friendly and ready to help out, this person is sure to be a great addition to the IC. Please welcome Caitlin McKenna to the IC as the new Avatar of Fire!
Once again, thanks to all who applied. As always, I want to encourage everyone to keep striving to better their writing and keep working on their plots and characters. We had lots of interesting and unique takes on this position, and it was great to see so many fresh ideas. Also, please keep in mind that we do consider how long you have stuck with a character. Sometimes characters that are brand new and tailor-made for the position are not really what we are looking for. Although we want characters to fit the spot, we also want to see some development and progression of the character.
As always, feel free to PM me if you would like some constructive feedback. I am always open to letting you know what you can try to work on for next time.
